Channing Tatum adds Blood Brothers to his busy schedule
He's set to produce and star
Channing Tatum has added another feature to his generously loaded schedule.
The actor is attached to Blood Brothers in a starring and producing capacity, according to a report by Variety (via Collider).
Producers Eric Nazarian ( The Blue Hour ) and Sergei Bodrov ( Mongol: The Rise To Power Of Genghis Khan ) have sold the pitch to Chernin Entertainment.
Little is known about the movie so far, but apparently it will be a tense thriller set in Russia.
It'll be interesting to see if Tatum actually finds time to star in this.
He's currently shooting TV-to-film comedy 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill, and he has completed work on Ten Year , Steven Soderbergh actioner Haywire , romantic weepie The Vow , and cop drama The Son Of No One , with Al Pacino.
On the horizon he has male stripper story Magic Mike (based on his own experiences), a mooted Peter Pan reboot and G.I. Joe 2 all lined up.
With the exception of The Vow and G.I. Joe 2 , Tatum's recent choices do seem to mark an effort to break the typecasting cycle he has been stuck in. Will he finally prove himself to be an acting talent to reckon with?
