Changing your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy happens at Madam Snelling's Tress Emporium in Hogsmeade. There you can change your hair and more once you've unlocked the location and found the shop. From that point on you're free to alter your looks whenever the mood takes you.

You'll first go to Hogsmeade with either Natty or Sebastian as a companion after you're done picking your Hogwarts Legacy wand flexibility at Ollivander's. At this point you can pull up the map and go to Madam Snelling next. Maybe you're just not feeling that big scar over one of your eyes, or are intrigued by how your Hogwarts Legacy wizard or witch might look with a bright pink ponytail? You can do it all for just a few coins at Madam Snelling's. Here's how to change your appearance Hogwarts Legacy

To change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy you need to play through the main quests until you reach a mission called Welcome to Hogsmeade. Here, you'll go to Hogsmeade village and get some time to explore the area before picking up some items for school. Once this is done you can access the wizard village to buy new outfits or change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy.

Madam Snelling's Tress Emporium is located near North Hogsmeade's floo flame checkpoint. Her shop is marked on your map by an icon with a pair of scissors on it.

If you are visiting Hogsmeade for the first time and can't wait to make some changes, be sure to visit her before the objective to meet your friend in the town square. When you do that you'll be locked into a battle with a troll until it's over - it's a tough fight early on in Hogwarts Legacy, with a few cutscenes thrown in, so if you're in a rush you might want to wait before you start all that.

However, after the troll battle, you'll be able to come and go from Hogsmeade whenever you like, and that means you can change your appearance every day if you really want to!

The release of Hogwarts Legacy has been the subject of criticism and debate due to J.K. Rowling's public stance on gender identity, which continues to challenge the inclusivity at the heart of the Harry Potter community. Here is our explainer on the Hogwarts Legacy controversy
