Catherine 'Love is Over' Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses revealed

Atlus, the self-proclaimed "sexiest publisher around," has released details on the pre-order bonuses and "Love is Over" Deluxe Edition of the North American release of Catherine, a bizarre, sexy RPG/puzzle platformer which fascinated us even before an international release was announced.

The "Love is Over" package will be presented in a Stray Sheep (a bar in which much of the game's story takes place) pizza box, and will include "a pair of polka dot boxers like the ones worn by Vincent during his manic nightmares, Vincent's 'Empty Hearts' T-shirt worn by Catherine in the game, and a pillow case decorated with an alluring image of Catherine, a nod to the pillow tucked under Vincent's arm as he frantically races to escape the terrors that pursue him."

To avoid "bitter, bitter disappointment," Atlus recommends that fans pre-order the Deluxe Edition, as it will be produced in limited quantities. To encourage early adoption, Atlus also announced today that as a reward for pre-ordering either the standard or Deluxe Edition, players will receive the Catherine Sound Disc %26amp; Art Book. The book contains 36 pages of full-color artwork by character designer Shigenori Soejima, and the CD contains 11 tracks by composer Shoji Meguro.

Catherineis scheduled to release on Xbox 360 and PS3 onJuly 26, and the standard edition will retail for the standard $59.99, while the Deluxe Edition will go for $79.99. If you aren't sure whether or not the game is for you, check out our video of the Japanese demo and other previous coverage, and sleep on it. If you decide to go Deluxe, you could soon be sleeping on this:
