Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Facebook app gets it backwards

Konami has just launched Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Challenge, a Facebook app designed to promote the upcoming release of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game has you choose between the Brotherhood of Light and the Lords of Shadow to determine whether you’ll be rolling a ‘good’ army or an ‘evil’ one.

Shadow Challenge, will unlock content from the console version of the game. But it appears that most of what you’ll get for clicking around in the social network-friendly app will be a series of Castlevania screenshots and trailers you’ve probably already seen. We really think it should be the other way around, and would like to see the Facebook app unlock content for the console versions instead.

The Facebook is is live and ready for you to 'Like,' if you choose. You can check it outhere. The console game, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will release for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on Tuesday, October 5. European audiences will see a release on October 7. In the meantime, you can read our super review to find out more about what you can expect from Lord of Shadow’s fresh approach to the classic series.
