Carrie Fisher comments on Star Wars: Episode VII
Suggests she is on board
Despite persistent rumours that Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill will all return for Star Wars: Episode VII , no official confirmation has yet been forthcoming.
However, when Fisher was recently asked about the project by the Calgary Herald , she certainly seemed to suggest that she is back in training to get in shape for the role of Leia.
“I like being bought by Disney, because they never wanted to buy me before,” said Fisher, suggesting a deal has already been done with the studio to facilitate her character’s return.
“I’m glad they are doing a new movie because they are sending a trainer to my house so I can get in really good shape,” she continues. “So I’m really eating a lot of sugar in advance, as you can see. By the time I really get down to it I will have eaten everything.”
Hints then, but still no absolute confirmation. Expect a big announcement in the next few months, when we can finally be put out of our misery! Star Wars: Episode VII will open in the UK in 2015.
