Capcom unveils Peanuts game. Good grief!
Snoopy-themed iOS-based social games surprisingly not a thing until now
You may be surprised to learn that there isn't already a hefty catalog of dubiously playable games available on iPhone based on Peanuts, Charles M. Schultz' beloved comic strip about existential malaise and pumpkins. However, Beeline %26ndash; the social-gaming subdivision Capcom uses when it wants to make some fat loot off smartphone microtransactions without offending the hardcore sensibilities of longtime Street Fighter/Megaman/Duck Tales devotees %26ndash; is set to rectify that, making your awareness of the previous sentence's information as useless as your repeated attempts to talk to that little red-haired girl.

Capcom's Beeline has revealed a partnership with Peanuts Worldwide LLC, the company responsible for ensuring that a comic strip about a bald kid whose life is shit will never lose its relevance. The partnership will lead to a series of globally-available social games themed around Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the rest of the philosophically-dysfunctional crew. The first in the series has a working title of %26ldquo;Snoopy,%26rdquo; suggesting that the title %26ndash; as the vast majority of Peanuts licenses throughout history have done %26ndash; will focus on the strip's pathologically delusional beagle, Snoopy, rather than the nominal protagonist, world-weary Charlie Brown.
Snoopy is intended to release next spring on iOS devices, with further Peanuts titles to follow. Beeline has also announced the August release of Smurfs' Grabber and Dream Park, followed by Monster Pet Shop in September.
