Capcom talks Okami 2 and Wii port
More Okami action on the minds of Capcom seniors
Okami is one of PS2's best adventure games in our opinion and if designer Hideki Kamiya has anything to do with it, there'll be more epic wolf soon.
Kamiya has a sequel in mind, and has revealed that it's something he'd really like to do. But unfortunately for Okami nuts, it's not his decision to make, so his hands are ultimately tied for the time being according to Kotaku.
Meanwhile, Capcom's Kenji Infane is considering porting the PS2 title to Wii - something which had been rumored and denied back in February.
"Of course [a Wii version of Okami is] something that I've personally thought about, but it's easier said than done. It's a cliché, but it's not just saying, 'Okay, let's port it over here.' There's technology, controls and then people to make the game, whether it's scheduling or knowing the hardware you want to take it to," he said.
But despite how well-suited the game seems for the Wii and its unique controller, Inafune cast a shadow on our hopes. "It's not out of the realm of possibility, but we don't have any plans for it right now, and nothing to comment on," he said.
