Capcom Digital Collection gets release date and price tag
XBLA releases take physical form come March 27
Should you be the sort of person who likes some sort of physical evidence as to how you've spent your money, Capcom is almost done readying a version of Super Street Fighter 2: Turbo HD Remix in a form you'll be able to enjoy. Of course, life in the age of Steam, Origin, PSN, XBLA and the rest is probably a bit testing for such materialist types – so it's lucky the disc, whose release date has just been announced, still has those seven other titles as well.
March 27 is when Capcom's Digital Collection will be available from US retailers, with the disc's $39.99 price breaking down to $5 each for eight previously download-only titles. Besides SSF2: THDR, the collection also includes Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2, Final Fight: Double Impact, 1942: Joint Strike, Flock!, Super Puzzle Fighter 2 Turbo HD Remix, Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3, Rocketmen: Axis of Evil and the Rocketmen: It Came From Uranus expansion.
As well as saving money and the time it would take to download all the titles on XBLA, the Collection will allow you to retain a physical copy in a bright green box and everything, turning what was once mere strings of code into a physical keepsake to treasure in your family for generations. Or at least to play when XBLA is down.
