Where are all the Warzone Trucks in solos?
There's now a smaller pool of Call of Duty Warzone Cargo Trucks available
Warzone Trucks have finally been nerfed in the Call of Duty battle royale's solo mode, after they increasingly dominated the winning meta. So if you're wondering why you can't find any in a solo match, that's why, Following some changes announced in the recent Warzone Patch notes, the spawn rate has been reduced massively, making it harder to find one and, hopefully, meaning the find circle will be more of a shooter and less of a destruction derby in Call of Duty Warzone.
So if you're wondering what happened to all the Warzone trucks, then here's the deal...
Where are the Warzone Cargo trucks?
The May 27 Warzone update notes included one big gameplay change, front and center in the list of bug fixes and upgrades:
- Cargo Truck spawn rates for Verdansk Solo BR mode have been reduced to 5 (static) from a range of 16 to 20.
So that's means there will be a flat five Warzone trucks appearing on the map now, instead of a potential 20. That's going to make a huge change to how things play out but doesn't entirely exclude all five trucks making it to the end game.
The update notes made it clear what the problems were with Warzone cargo trucks, noting that the vehicles are "incredibly durable and provide ample cover from enemy fire, which makes them the optimal choice for map rotation". The patch notes also highlighted that trucks are almost impossible to deal with in solos, stating that "in solos, players are not keen to unload a considerable amount of their resources into the removal of cargo trucks". So, without anyone trying to take them out, that obviously means that a lot of Cargo trucks make it to the final circle. Because of that it "allowed players to skirt traditional engagements and created a crutch that put less of an emphasis on end game positioning and gunplay". The idea behind the reduction is that it'll be easier for players overall to 'whittle them down' due to the "reduced map presence".
We'll have to wait and see how it plays out, and if it balances the solo game at all. Or whether it leads to a new meta of early game fights to secure a truck. Although as the patch notes point out, if there are only five trucks to worry about it might mean that more players try to damage them, making them less likely to last a full match.
