John Sweeney, a concept artist on Naughty Dog's The Last of Us and Uncharted 4, is quite the Shenmue fan - he's drafted up a render of Shenmue protagonist Ryo Hazuki, and royalties from the sales will go toward funding the Shenmue 3 Kickstarter. The crowdfunding campaign has already raised more than $4.5 million (of a $2 million goal), but with more than a week left and efforts like Sweeney's, expect to see that number rise.
Video game art specialists Cook & Becker are selling prints of the image, which details Ryo moments after his father's murder at the beginning of the original Shenmue. Prices start at $99, which might seem a bit high, but keep in mind these are museum-grade prints, not something run through the local library printer. They're also hand-numbered and come with a certificate of authenticity, adding some class to the whole affair.
