Bubba Ho-Tep's director is back!
Don Coscarelli knows John Dies At The End
Bad news for anyone who was hoping that Bubba Ho-Tep director Don Coscarelli would be forcing Bruce Campbell back into his Elvis prosthetics for another drag-out fight with a member of the undead in Bubba Nosferatu. Seems the vampire wrangle is going to have to wait: Coscarelli’s got a new follow-up planned.
According to Ain’t It Cool , He’s bought the rights to David Wong’s cult novel John Dies At The End. It’s the tale of two jobless slackers who are plunged into a battle against evil supernatural forces when a strange drug starts turning people into inhuman beasts. “I was greatly impressed by David Wong's crazed originality and impressive imagination," Coscarelli blabs in a press release. "He's like a mash-up of Douglas Adams and Stephen King, both smart and goofy, scary and funny - it really spoke to me. John is as addictive as the 'Soy Sauce' street drug that kicks the plot into gear."
We don’t want to give away any spoilers, but we doubt it goes well for John.
