Bryan Singer will officially direct X-Men: Apocalypse
Set to take the helm for a fourth time
Bryan Singer has been officially confirmed to direct X-Men: Apocalypse , the fourth time he has stepped behind the camera for the popular mutant franchise.
It had long been assumed that Singer would be occupying the director’s chair, although nothing had been set in stone until this point. However, the deal has now been locked, and the appointment is official.
With X-Men: Days Of Future Past raking in some $700 million worldwide, it should come as little surprise that Fox are keen to repeat the trick, with the next instalment of the series set to land in under two years time.
The next film will follow the younger incarnations of the X-Men (along with the ageless Wolverine) as they move into the ‘80s and are confronted by the villainous Apocalypse, the world’s oldest mutant…
Singer is currently developing a script with Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris, with the film set to arrive in the UK on 19 May 2016.
