Bryan Singer to direct Vince Gilligan's Battle Creek pilot
X-Men helmer to team up with Breaking Bad creator
Bryan Singer is set to team up with Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan on the latter's new CBS TV series, Battle Creek .
Announced last September, the new show is described as a contemporary detective drama, following a pair of mismatched cops in Battle Creek, Michigan.
Given the success Gilligan had with the mismatched buddy dynamic on Breaking Bad , we should be in for a real treat, with the series reportedly in line for a full season order.
Singer has agreed to direct the series' pilot episode, with House creator David Shore (for whom Singer also directed that series' pilot) also on board to serve as showrunner.
Starring US TV mainstay Dean Winters, Battle Creek is expected to screen in the US later this year, with a specific air date to be confirmed in due course.
