Bryan Singer teases something new with on-set image from X-Men: Apocalypse

Bryan Singer has posted a new image from the set of X-Men: Apocalypse, teasing “something new” for fans to look forward to.

The new image shows Singer standing in front of what has traditionally been the door leading into the Cerebro chamber. Nothing particularly exciting about that, then, but it’s in the accompanying caption where the intrigue lies…

“I know. Old door,” reads the caption. “But there’ll be something new behind it. #XmenApocalypse”. Oh Bryan, you are a tease…

As to what might lie beyond that door, it has been suggested that Singer might finally be giving himself a crack at the Danger Room (glimpsed previously in Brett Ratner’s The Last Stand), although chances are it could be something we’ve yet to see in any of the films so far. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Directed by Singer and co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: Apocalypse will open in the UK on 19 May 2016 before landing in the US eight days later.
