Bryan Singer reveals X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the '80s
Exclusive: "We're going to deal with ancient mutants"
In issue 218 of Total Film magazine , director Bryan Singer has revealed that X-Men: Apocalypse will be set in the '80s.
Inside the issue - which is available for just £1.99 on your iPad - Singer revealed that the next film in the X-Men franchise is going to offer a change of scene (and time) for the series.
"We're going to deal with the notion of ancient mutants – the fact that they were born and existed thousands of years ago," he says.
"But it'll be a contemporary movie – well, it'll take place in the '80s... The '80s is a period now – it's hard for me to believe that!"
X-Men: Days Of Future Past opens in UK cinemas on 22 May 2014.
