FX has pulled off a superb piece of casting for the second series of Fargo, with Bruce Campbell set to appear in a cameo. His role in the show? None other than Ronald Reagan.
TV Line reports that Campbell will appear in one episode, with the series' 1979 setting pitching him as a Presidential hopeful hot on the campaign trail. A trail that brings him to the titular township…
"He’s on his first campaign [and he] makes a swing through Fargo,” said FX CEO John Landgraf earlier in the year. “Some of the characters have some interactions with him. And some of his movies are also a part of the show."
A lovely little bonus for Campbell fans then, who can also look forward to the star heading up Starz's forthcoming Ash vs. Evil Dead, set to arrive later this year. Hail to the king, baby…
