After its debut at two last week, Brian Lara International Cricket 2005 steps up to the crease and takes first place from Madagascar, and at the same time becomes the first cricket game to head up the All Formats chart since it started in 1997.
Fantastic 4 stands fast at three and Medal of Honor European Assault digs its heals in at four but, shooting up to fifth place from its entry at 16, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory makes the most significant impact on the top 10.
With no new entries in the top 20, and only one in the whole top 40 (Worms 4 Mayhem slides in at 25), any chart mingling this week comes from older games getting a summer reprise: NFS Underground 2 races into position 16, GT 4 makes up 13 places at 22, The Sims 2 University climbs 10 places to 27, and Oddworld Stranger's Wrath, FIFA 2005 and The Matrix Online re-enter the top 40 at 23, 29 and 34, respectively.
There are no major releases this Friday, so the charts are likely to be fairly static next week. However, this is just the calm before the PSP storm. With only a month to go before the release of Sony's sexy handheld and at least 20 launch titles lined up, gamers should be storing their energy for some hectic, play-anywhere goodness.
