Bret Easton Ellis and Rob Zombie to team up for Manson Family series
Duo to work on new Fox show
Bret Easton Ellis and Rob Zombie are set to team up for a new TV series based around the murderous exploits of the Manson Family.
Variety reports that Fox are mulling over whether to greenlight the new show, which will be written by Ellis, with Zombie occupying the director's chair,
"I have been obsessed with this insane story since I was a kid," explains Zombie, "so obviously I jumped at the chance to be involved in this incredible project."
"After speaking with Bret, I immediately realised that we shared the same vision for this epic madness."
According to the report, Ellis will sift through the official records of the Manson Family killings, in order to "tell converging stories of people and events leading up to and after the murders, from shifting points of view."
Given the track records of both men, and the extremely gruesome subject material, we'll be looking forward to something suitably grisly from the collaboration. Expect this one to arrive well after the watershed...
