Sub Quest 2 – Time Mage and Spell Fencer Asterisks

Availability: Chapter 1

Once Agnès has awakened the Wind Crystal and you’ve basked in the glow of the hero’s welcome back in Ancheim, you’ll notice that there’s some nocturnal funny business going on and now you have the opportunity to investigate. Return to town under cover of darkness and you’ll find that you are now able to enter the door to the left of the giant clock face. Poke around in the dungeon to locate and flip the switches that will open the elevator and take you to the back entrance of the throne room, where you will overhear the dastardly plotting of the King before confronting him for battle.

Khint will be using the familiar silence Sword Magic skill while the vision dressed up as a giant time piece that is King Khamer VIII will cast the most annoying of magic in the form of stop, for which the usually reliable remedy seems to have no effect. Before the fight, do the usual checks with your magic users to make sure they won’t be affected by silence and once the fighting commences, get rid of Khamer as quickly as possible to avoid losing turns to his stop magic. Once he’s out of the picture, finish off Khint to be rewarded with not one, but two asterisks.
