Bourne 4 and 5 being written
Ultimatum won’t be the last we see of amnesia stricken agent...
CIA super-agent Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) wandered off the reservation in 2002's The Bourne Identity and took the law into his own hands again in The Bourne Supremacy in 2004 – the two movies raked in over $500 million in box office receipts.
With The Bourne Ultimatum set to begin shooting on 1 August under the watchful gaze of Supremacy helmer Paul Greengrass - producer Frank Marshall thinks the forgetful spy has enough juice to last beyond trilogy territory and into franchise country… but there is a hitch.
“It's kinda up to Matt,” Marshall said. “Maybe we could go to five films. At some point, he's gotta find out who he is.”
Rumours are that Marshall already has writers scribbling away on possible storylines for fourth and fifth missions for the deadly rogue agent.
Meanwhile, Ultimatum sees Julia Stiles’ character take a bigger slice of the action, along with Supremacy co-star Joan Allen.
“Julia’s will be a central character in this movie,” Marshall continued. “So will Joan and some of the other characters from the last movie.”
The plot revolves around a veteran terrorist who sets his sights on eliminating Bourne. The flick will contain two new villains, still yet to be cast.
