Bond to be confirmed tomorrow
Is it Daniel Craig? Only 24 hours until all is revealed
This is a final call for anyone still patiently waiting for a superspy scoop. The finger tapping and thumb twiddling is nearly at an end. Sony Pictures have declared there will be a press conference on Friday to announce the new James Bond.
The buzz in London yesterday was that Layer Cake star Daniel Craig was already adjusting the seat in the Aston Martin and since his screentest a while back, the positive rumblings have just got more and more… rumbly. If it’s confirmed, Craig would step into the shoes of franchise rescuer Pierce Brosnan, whose five-movie stint saw him portray the quipster spy from 1995’s GoldenEye to 2002’s Die Another Day.
Keep your peepers open for any developments tomorrow. And the new Mr Bond, whoever you are, if you’re reading this… we’ll have our martini shaken, not stirred.
