Why you can trust 12DOVE
Of the different Bomberman Land games, the Wii iteration is the most straightforward of the bunch. You don't have to concern yourself with tracking down items or solving puzzles to get through the story mode. Instead, you only have to worry about your hand falling off from madly shaking the Wii Remote as you play through dozens of awful minigames.
To be fair, a few of the minigames are good. Moving the Wii Remote up and down to pump the crank on a hand-cart is a clever way to make use of Nintendo's unique controller. Pointing the infrared sensor at the screen to shoot at targets also never gets old. Unfortunately, the majority of the minigames included on the disc are more along the lines of jump rope, math problems, and lame variations of hockey and bumper cars. Yuck!
The back of the box proclaims "challenge your friends!" What the packaging doesn't tell you is that only ten of the 50 minigames on the disc allow multiple players to compete simultaneously. Of those ten, five are restricted to just two players. That's not exactly compelling game night fodder.

Description | Essentially two games in one, you get a collection of minigames and the classic Bomberman battle mode. Sadly, the minigames are mostly garbage and very few of them support multiple players. That leaves the battle mode as the disc's only redeeming feature. |
