Blue Dragon launches in Japan

A"launch party" washeld at Yodobashi Camera Akiba (one of the biggest retail stores in Tokyo), whereJapanese gamers waited to be the first to get their hands on the latest RPG from Hironobu Sakaguchi. To help ring in theoccasion, top model Yoko Horiuchi was on-hand, showing her support as she is an avid fan of Akira Toriyama, the renowned artist behind the game (although she admits that she's never actually played the game).

Above: It may take more than Blue Dragon anda fewhalf-hearted celebrity appearances to get Japanese gamers pumped about the 360.

Thanks in partto some sweet limited edition Blue Dragon bundles, sales of the RPG have actually been quite good so far. The verdict is still out, however, on whether Blue Dragon will be enough of a hit to lure masses of Japanese gamersto the 360.
