Here are the answers from blogger Stacey Whittle

1/ What first got you into SF?
My Dad, he is a big fan of the late, great Douglas Adams - when I was about 11 he gave me The Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. I have known where my towel is from that day to this. I also think my dad is a hoopy frood who has a brain the size of a planet though he has developed a sudden love of polo shirts which worries me somewhat.

2/ Who was your first geek crush?
Peter Davison, still in my opinion the most beautiful Doctor. His flowing locks, his cricket jumper: man, he was gorgeous.

3/ If you were a spaceship from a TV show or movie, which would you be (and why)?
I think I am like Serenity from Firefly, I aim for serenity in life but think actually I'm getting on a bit, a little rusty and falling apart ever so slightly. I may need my own Kaylee to look after me!

4/ If SFX were to run a convention, which guest would you most like to meet there?
Y'know part of me wants to say ridiculous people you will never get like Neil Gaiman and Alan Moore whom I wouldn't even be able to talk to anyway cos I'd be hiding in the corner going wibble. Instead I'd say, have good panels and workshops and I'll see you lot in the bar.

5/ What's the most exciting thing to happen to you (SF wise) in 2009 so far?
Writing blogs for the SFX website, I mean how awesome is that? And secondly I have just done my very first podcast about all things small press called Small Press Big Mouth which is going out on the Geek Syndicate feed. And (2009 has been geektastic for me) being paid for some of my writing which is beyond exciting. Hi Ex, truly a wonderful convention. And lastly Gary Erskine recognising me at Bristol - that impressed my boyfriend more then anything!

6/ What feature would you most like us to add to this website?
I'm quite attached to the site the way it is, it's also quite Serenity like isn't it? I'm not sure.

7/ What SF character has most inspired you in your life?
G'kar from Babylon 5. What a journey he went on. Not only is he fantastically written and portrayed character, he shows that we can have faults and make mistakes but we can learn from them and move on. We can be less superficial, we can look at the bigger picture, it's difficult but it's possible.

8/ What's always your number one book or DVD recommendation to a friend?
The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul by Douglas Adams, my favourite book. I love Dirk Gentley, he's fantabulous. My copy of this is held together by duct tape (really need to get a new one).

9/ If you were the boss of SFX magazine for a day, what would be your first command?
"Bring me coffee, minions" - did I sound just like Dave? Followed by, "Lets do a big 2000 AD feature with many interviews and reviews and recommendations." Not that I'm obsessed or owt like that!

10/ Who'd win in a fight, a caveman or an astronaut?
A caveman: he has a club and fire, the astronaut just has a shiny suit. Though if you were to ask me what my favourite superpower is - I would say China*

*my favourite geeky joke. I apologise!
