Blizzard has announced the details of its 2011 shindig, which will take place October 21-22 in the Anaheim Convention Center. The sixth BlizzCon will feature the usual feast of Blizzard-fan ambrosia, including discussion panels, tournaments, contests, exclusive merchandise, and "hands-on play time with the latest versions of Blizzard Entertainment games."
Blizzard hasn't given any word on what exactly will be shown at the con, but we expect that Diablo III will take the spotlight, assuming the leaked company roadmap pegging it with a 'Q4 2011' release is accurate.
Further details will be made available on Blizzard's official site and, presumably, the official BlizzCon 2011 site. If you're planning to attend, you'll have to snatch up a ticket as soon as they're made available - last year's event sold out "in minutes."
Blizzard also snuck a recruiting line into the press release - the company is looking for new employees... a lot of them. If you've been seeking employment in the industry and somehow overlooked Blizzard, now is probably a good time to check out its job listings. You could work on such projects as "Next-Gen MMO"or "Unannounced Game Title!"
