The best Black Friday PS5 deals 2025: what to expect from this year's sale
November is the time for some Sony savings

The best Black Friday PS5 deals are one of the best ways to grab a new Slim or PS5 Pro model and build up your games and accessory collection while saving some cash at the same time. With the PS5 now five years old (if you can believe that) so there's a plethora of physical games, controllers, headsets, SSDs, and more that have regularly seen some hefty savings over the years - and 2025 is looking to be no different.
Last year, the newly improved PS5 Pro happened to launch around the time the best Black Friday gaming deals started to drop. Surprisingly, this resulted in some UK retailers shaving off cash off the new Sony console, which is almost unheard of when it comes to fancy new tech. If that wasn't great enough, 2024 releases that had barely spent time on the shelves joined in on the savings action and dropped in price for the very first time - everything from Silent Hill 2 to Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was the cheapest they had been so far.
This November will mark a whole year since the PS5 Pro launched, so it's highly likely it could be the talk of the town again with a whole new discount. Bundles could also be a highlight, with Sony launching brand-new Astro Bot PS5 Slim bundles this year that are already deals to begin with. No matter what's in store, we're using our years spent in the Black Friday deal mines to detail everything you can expect to dig up during this year's sales.
Black Friday PS5 Deals - What to expect
There's bound to be plenty of Black Friday PS5 deals in 2025, especially if last year was anything to go by. November 2024 was full of savings on brand-new games, controllers, headsets, PS5 SSDS, and of course - the PS5 itself, which hopefully is sign of things to come.
As I briefly touched on before, the PS5 happened to drop during November last year. Despite launching just in time for the biggest sales event of the year, it's pretty unheard of for brand-new consoles to see any kind of savings. Those based in the UK, however, were in for a treat as retailers like EE dropped money off the brand-new PS5 Pro console on the lead-up to November 29. With this year's sales marking the big one-year anniversary of the upgraded console, that will hopefully spell out savings for those in the US too - making it a prime time for those who have been waiting to make the upgrade.
I fully expect there to be plenty of savings on PS5 Slim consoles too, especially where bundles are concerned. During last year's sales retailers like Walmart launched their own disc edition bundles, which even came with an extra DualSense controller all for just $474.98. Since then, Sony has launched a brand-new Astro Bot PS5 Slim bundle for both the digital and disc editions of the console, which would be primed for some Black Friday savings. Already, the new Astro Bot bundles provide a rare saving on the console itself, so it's definitely one to watch as any further price drops would make it an absolute steal.
Grabbing one of the best Black Friday PS5 deals is a great alternative if can't budget for a new PS5 even if there are discounts in play. Last year, SSDs from the biggest names in the business, from Samsung, Corsair, and Western Digital all saw their own fair share of savings. There weren't a ton of record lows, but grabbing 2TB worth of storage at a discount will still be cheaper than forking out for a PS5 Pro.
Course, if we see a repeat of the kind of Black Friday savings we saw last year, expect to see record-low price drops on the latest games. A ton of 2024 releases, like Metaphor: ReFantazio, Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, and even Astro Bot saw their best savings so far, so some 2025 games are bound to follow suit. This year, Death Stranding 2: On The Beach, Ghost of Yōtei, and Elden Ring Nightreign are some of the most highly-anticipated releases, so I'd keep a close eye on them over Black Friday for sure.
If you're happy with your PS5 and already have plenty to play, Black Friday 2025 won't be shy about savings on the best PS5 accessories either. The jury is still out on if we'll finally see the Sony DualSense controller see any major discounts, but there's plenty of third-party alternatives, like the Victrix Pro BFG or the Nacon Revolution 5 Pro to watch out for instead. Where headsets are concerned, I'd keep an eye on the SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P, which dropped to under $100 last year. It's one of the best PS5 headsets you can pop on your head, and with SteelSeries being a regular fixture of Black Friday, I suspect it'll see similar savings this time around.
When will the Black Friday PS5 deals start?
Black Friday officially begins on Friday, November 28, a day earlier than last year. You can also expect the best Black Friday PS5 deals to start popping up at the start of that week, and as early as October (if 2024 and 2023 are anything to go by). We recommend keeping an eye on offers from October onwards if you don't want to miss out on the biggest savings on PS5 console bundles, game, accessories and more.
Where will the best Black Friday PS5 deals be?
If you're looking to pick up a PS5 for the first time, or gave some new PS5 games and accessories during November 2025 then you'll likely find that all major tech retailers will be offering amazing discounts on whatever you need. If we had to guess though, we'd place our bet on the retailers below.

Save $95 - This PS5 Slim bundle actually came in at $25 cheaper than the standard MSRP of the console by itself and packed a free controller too. Not only that, but even with the rest of last year's Black Friday PS5 deals taken into account you were still saving $5 on the DualSense.

Sonic X Shadow Generations | $49.99 $29.99 at Amazon
Save $20 - Amazon had a $20 discount on the then-latest Sonic adventure, with this Generations remake (feat. Shadow) dropping to just $29.99 during Black Friday 2024. That was a fantastic saving on a then newly released title.
UK: £44.99 £27.99 at Amazon
Marvel's Spider-Man 2 | $69.99 $39.99 at Best Buy
Save $30 - 2023's blockbuster darling, Spider-Man 2, saw its lowest price ever during Black Friday 2024. Discounts have been few and far between on Spidey's latest adventure, only dropping to $49.99 a couple of times last year. Best Buy beat that by $10 last Black Friday.
UK: £59.99 £34.99 at Very
Life Is Strange: Double Exposure | $49.99 $39.99 at Best Buy
Save $10 - Life is Strange: Double Exposure was one of the newest games taking part in last year's sales, with a $10 discount dropping the latest instalment to its lowest price it had since during Black Friday 2024.
UK: £49.99 £44.99 at Amazon
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth |$69.99 $39.99 at Best Buy
Save $30 - Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth took its first major price cut a few months before last year's Black Friday PS5 sales - but this deal beat that. The latest instalment dropped to $49.99 during last November's sales, but Best Buy's $30 discount dropped it further to a brand new record-low.
UK: £69.99 £34 at Amazon
Metaphor: ReFantazio | $69.99 $49.99 at Amazon
Save $20 - With awards in the headlights and a massive base of dedicated fans, 2024 was a good year for Metaphor: ReFantazio. During last year's Black Friday sales it was looking better than ever, thanks to its record-low $49.99 sales price at Amazon.
UK: £59.99 £34.49 at Amazon
Silent Hill 2 | $69.99 $30 at Amazon
Save $20 - I was celebrating a $10 discount on this game just weeks before, but then Amazon's swooped in with a brand new record-low price over Black Friday 2024. Silent Hill 2 hasn't wasn't out for long at the time, so a $30 sales price was worth celebrating.
UK: £59.99 £54.99 at Amazon
Last year's Best Black Friday PS5 accessory deals
Sony DualSense | $74.99 $54 at Amazon
Save $20 - This is the one Black Friday PS5 deal I always expect to see - a solid discount on the good old DualSense controller. The gamepad has been cheaper in previous holiday sales, but 2024's permanent price increase meant we were only down to $54 during last year's Black Friday sales. 2023's sales had those numbers ticking down to $49.99 - but this was as good as it got.
UK: £69.99 £39.99 at Amazon
Backbone One PlayStation Edition (Lightning) controller | $99.99 $69.99 at PlayStation Direct
Save $30 - The Backbone One (PlayStation Edition) was $30 off its MSRP of $99.99 during last year's Black Friday sales. This handy controller that transforms your iPhone into a PS5 remote playing machine was only $10 higher than its lowest-ever price making it one of the best deals we found last November.
UK: £69.99 at Argos
PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of The Mountain Bundle | $599.99 $349.99 at Amazon
Save over $250 - This was only the second time I saw the PSVR 2 drop down to $349.99 with Call of the Mountain included. The system usually sits at a particularly high price tag, but this $350 position felt far more manageable - it's also super rare, making it one of the best Black Friday PS5 deals last year.
UK: £529.99 £339.99 at Amazon
SteelSeries Arctis Nova 5P | $129.99 $99.99 on Amazon
Save $30 - It wasn't the biggest saving in the world, but this made the mid-range Artis Nova 5P even more of a budget-friendly match for your PS5 last November. The price did shift a little, but its cheapest recorded price in history was only five dollars less than this Black Friday PS5 2024 deal.
Samsung 990 Pro 4TB | $464.99 $269.99 at Best Buy
Save $195 - If you wanted to future-proof your internal storage, this $269.99 sales price on Samsung's 4TB 990 Pro SSD was one to watch last Black Friday. This model is rarely discounted (as are all SSDs at the moment), making its near-$200 saving all the more precious during last year's Black Friday sales.
UK: £271.99 £224.99 at Amazon

Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel and Floor Pedals | $299.99 $199.99 at Amazon
Save $100 - Driving sim gaming setups are notoriously a bit on the pricey side, so this 33% discount was a sight for sore eyes. It wasn't the lowest it had ever been, but with $100 off its MSRP of $299.99, it was still good enough, especially as I was used to seeing it around the $250 mark.
UK: £179.99 at Amazon
Of course, we'll also keep you stocked with info on all of this year's offers, so whether you're after Black Friday gaming headset deals or Black Friday gaming monitor deals, we've got you covered when the Black Friday PS5 deals roll around.
