Black Friday projector deals 2024: everything to expect this year
Black Friday projector deals could save you plenty come November, here's everything we expect to see.
Whether you're dabbling in big-screen entertainment for the first time or kitting out a full home cinema, Black Friday projector deals promise to strip some cash off the final price. Projectors themselves are only just creeping into mainstream use, so while they can come with some pretty premium price tags their costs are slowly dropping. More eyes on these savings over the holiday period means bigger discounts for you and me.
Last year we saw everything from Samsung to BenQ taking part in Black Friday projector deals - with savings ranging from $20 to nearly $2,000. Of course, it's those premium 4K models that see the bigger discounts, but considering $2,299 could net you an Epson EpiqVision Ultra worth $4,000 last year those chasing a higher price tag have plenty to gain.
I've been tracking Black Friday projector deals for years now, and I've learned a thing or two along the way. When the time comes I'll be rounding up all the biggest discounts on the best projectors around, but until then here's everything you need to know about this year's sale.
Today's best projector deals ahead of Black Friday

- Adorama: BenQ from $599
- Best Buy: up to $1,000 off Sony

Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-W01 HD projector | $369.99 $299.99 at Best Buy
Save $70 - You're limited to HD resolution here, but if you just want a cheap projector to get the job done, Best Buy has a fantastic price on the Flex CO-W01 right now. This is a return to a record-low price that's popped onto the shelves a few times in the last few months. That means this model has never been cheaper.
Buy it if:
✅ You prioritize value over picture quality
✅ You still want solid brightness
✅ You already have a streaming stick
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want built-in streaming options
Price check: Amazon: $299.99 | Walmart: $299.99
LG CineBeam PF510Q portable FHD projector | $599.99 $428.99 at Amazon
Save $171 - Last year's 1080p portable LG CineBeam projector is just $22 away from a record low price we haven't seen since last Black Friday. This $171 discount has only appeared once or twice this year so far, making this the best price of 2024.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a compact device
✅ You want iPhone support
✅ You need Netflix onboard
Don't buy it if:
❌ You need a built in audio system
Price check: Best Buy: $509.99 | Walmart: $599.99
UK: £449 at Amazon
Epson EpiqVision Flex CO-FH02 FHD projector | $549.99 $499.99 at Best Buy
Save $50 - The Epson EpiqVision CO-FH02 has only ever been cheaper than this $499.99 sale price once before - and that was back in May. That $475 record-low is extremely rare, then, whereas this $499.99 offer only appears every few weeks. If you want the absolute lowest price possible, this is one to keep an eye on. Otherwise it's still a great rate today.
Buy it if:
✅ You want solid brightness
✅ You want an even bigger screen
✅ You need Netflix support
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want gaming-focused latencies
Price check: Amazon: $499.99 | Walmart: $499.99
BenQ TK700 4K projector | $1,499 $1,099 at Best Buy
Save $400 - The BenQ TK700 is a little older, but this is still the cheapest price it's ever seen. This $1,099.99 position has been spotted only a few times this year, most recently back in June - otherwise the 3,200 lumen projector is more regularly sound at $1,300.
Buy it if:
✅ You want to stream and play games
✅ You have a 4K console
✅ HDR is a must
Don't buy it if:
❌ You don't need lower latencies
Price check: Amazon: $1,099 | Walmart: OOS
BenQ X300G 4K gaming projector | $1,399 $1,299 at Amazon
Save $100 - This is a $100 saving at first glance, but the BenQ X300G actually started life at $1,799 in March this year. This is the first time I've seen those numbers roll down to $1,299, marking a record-low price.
Buy it if:
✅ You want a projector for consoles
✅ You have a smaller space to fill
✅ You also play on handhelds
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want the best 4K picture for streaming
Price check: Walmart: $1,299 | Best Buy: $1,299
UK: £1,399 at Amazon
AWOL Vision LTV-2500 4K projector | $2,999 $2,099 at Amazon
Save $900 - This AWOL Vision 4K projector should be on any big-spender's radar. The $3K device just took a $900 discount at Amazon, and I expect there's a little more wiggle room in that price. It's dropped to $1,999 in the past, though that was back over the holidays last year. Still, if you're holding out for a sub-$2,000 price point you may just find it here. Equally, $2,099 is still a fantastic rate and one we don't see every day.
Buy it if:
✅ You want high-end picture quality
✅ You want to watch during daylight
✅ You don't have a streaming stick
Don't buy it if:
❌ You want to play games
Price check: Walmart: $2,099 | Best Buy: OOS
What to expect from Black Friday projector deals in 2024
Trying to pick out specifics can get tricky given the projector market's size and diversity now, but the flip side of this means that there is likely to be something for everyone, no matter what you're looking for. Whether you're after a 1080p lense or something with some 4K grunt behind it, there are plenty of projectors vying for your attention this year. However, the biggest value is going to be found in older releases gathering more time on the shelves. Three, in particular, stand out to us; the BenQ TK700, Epson Home Cinema 3800, and the XGIMI Halo+.
The BenQ TK700 model first took our fancy a couple of years ago, and that $1,499 MSRP gave way to an excellent $1,099 sales price last November. That's a sales price that only recently came back into the fold, dropping once again at the start of September 2024. With the age of this device rumbling on, and BenQ already at last year's Black Friday price level, this could easily be a three-figure price tag in November.
We're also looking to the XGIMI Halo+ for a portable projector discount as well. The 1080p Halo retails at an $849 MSRP, but that's seemingly permanently dropped to around $799.99 this year - and even then sales have had it discounted pretty much constantly. It's usually available for $600 - $650 day to day, but has dropped as low as $549.99 this year so far. This is looking like a solid bet for a last-ditch attempt to clear stock in November.
The Epson Home Cinema 3800 is a slightly higher-priced 4K projector that's been on the shelves since 2020. That's a long time in this world, but 2024 has seen it drop from $1,699.99 to $1,399.99 with far more regularity than ever before. 2023's sales only hit this position once or twice, but this year it's been available for months at a time. That means we're holding out for something a little extra in 2024's Black Friday projector deals - ideally at around $1,199.99.
Newer 2024 releases aren't immune from holiday sales, though, and the one I'd recommend you watch most closely is the BenQ X300G. This is a 4K projector with a specific gaming focus, offering speedy 1080p gameplay at 240Hz or 4K 60Hz higher resolution experiences. The best part is it's also uniquely geared to run and charge gaming handhelds like the Nintendo Switch or Asus ROG Ally using just one USB-C port.
The X300G isn't one to shy away from discounts either. The $1,599.99 launch price has dropped as low as $1,399 this year so far, most recently in August. That's an impressive $200 saving considering it's a 2024 release, and one I expect to see replicated in November. If I'm really pushing my luck, and discounts are even stronger this year, we could even enjoy a $1,299.99 sales price here.
Those after a new-generation 4K projector for home cinema will want to change course and look at the XGIMI Horizon Ultra. This is a larger, and slightly more premium 4K projector, but it handles ambient lighting much better with higher brightness levels. At launch this 2024 device landed at $1,699.99, but the year so far has seen it drop to between $1,500 and $1,530 with some regularity, particularly in the last few weeks. A record-low $1,444 sale price has been spotted, so I'm hopeful for a $1,399.99 figure over Black Friday.
FAQ
When will Black Friday projector deals start?
Black Friday projector deals will kick off on November 29 this year, but it's worth noting that we've consistently seen retailers offering their holiday discounts from the start of Thanksgiving week over the last few years. 2023 even kicked things off in October at some stores.
Where will the best Black Friday projector deals be?
We've all seen this movie before when it comes to the location of the deals too: the below retailers are the ones we're noting down to check out as the usual suspects, and the below links are the usual pages to check out.

Walmart: often price matches and has brick-and-mortar stores for collection
UK:

Do projectors go on sale for Black Friday?
Like you wouldn't believe! Absolutely, as you can tell from this very page, we're not only versed and experienced in the Black Friday projector deals enough for you to take our word on it, but there are some highlights from last year's projector deals just below this.
Also, it won't only be protectors that go on sale for Black Friday, you should see discounts on all the accessories you need too, from screens to mounting units.
Are projectors still worth it?
As the price of a high-end model falls and the tech grows more sophisticated, projectors are still well worth it in 2023. Big-screen TV costs are still miles ahead of the price of a lense, and the performance of today's 4K and even 1080p projectors outpaces those from just a few years ago.
Are 4K projectors getting cheaper?
4K projectors were insanely expensive when they first landed on the shelves. Sony's first 4K model (and the first to hit the market) came in at over $20,000. Yeah. These days you'll find a 4K projector for around $1,000 - still pricey but far more affordable for the enthusiast upgrading from a cheaper 1080p model.
