Duskmourn Collector Booster Box | $238.32 $208.99 at Walmart
Save $29 - As far as I can tell, the Collector Booster Box (which is crammed with 12 booster packs, each containing 15 cards) has never been cheaper than it is here. Seeing as there are so many gorgeous/terrifying treatments for this horror-themed set, that's a bargain.
Buy it if:

Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals: FAQ
When will the Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals start?
MTG might change every couple of months, but Black Friday is more predictable. It occurs after Thanksgiving and on the final Friday of November, which means we can expect this year's Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals to take place on November 29, 2024.
However, don't expect the sale to be limited to that one day. Rather, they'll probably start earlier and end later - at least, if previous years are anything to go by.
Where will the best Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals be?
Finding the 'best' offers will depend on what you're looking for. Although the big retailers will be well worth watching during this year's Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals, they tend to emphasize bundles, Commander decks, and massive booster boxes from the latest sets. That's why smaller, independent stores are great options to keep up your sleeve - they often provide discounts on individual cards and are competitive in terms of price.
USA
- Amazon: Good for bundles and bulk booster boxes
- Walmart: Surprisingly wide range on sale
- Best Buy: Stocks all the latest sets
- Miniature Market: Great for individual cards
- Target: Offers MTG merch and new sets
UK
- Amazon: Reliable source of bundles sets and boxes
- Magic Madhouse: Great for individual cards
- Zatu: Good source for single booster packs
- Wayland Games: Offers regular discounts
What to expect from Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals 2024
Despite being better known for reductions on electrical goods like laptops or TVs, Black Friday savings go far beyond the world of tech. Along with board games, Lego, and D&D books, MTG sets of all kinds are included. that includes MTG sets of all kinds.
Here's a better idea of what you can expect:
👑 Commander decks new and old get eyecatching price cuts
MTG's most popular format always enjoys a price cut or two when Black Friday rolls around. Although you're less likely to get big reductions on brand-new, fresh-off-the-press sets, most Commander decks will be a few months old by the time the sales arrive. That means we should be able to expect $10 or more off the sticker price (or beyond, if it's an older release).
🕐 Some of the best offers will be on old sets
While most eyes will be on Duskmourn and Bloomburrow, it's worth checking out older sets as well. These commonly enjoy some of the biggest reductions, with the likes of Innistrad: Crimson Vow being significantly discounted last year.
⭐ The best savings are on booster boxes
This won't surprise MTG veterans, but the best Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals tend to be on booster boxes. You can save $40 or more on these booster collections if you're lucky, providing far better value for money than you'd usually find.
Last year's best Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals
Collector Booster Box | $229.45 $188.95 at Amazon
Save $40 - That was a lowest-ever price for this MTG booster box, so immediately jumped to the top of our pile in terms of decent Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals.
The Lord of the Rings Starter Kit | $35.99 $13.99 at Amazon
Save $22 - This was a record low price for this set. Because it's arguably the best starter set Magic's had for a long time (it's easier to get into, and its decks feel more coherent), it was one of the best offers last year overall.
Commander Deck - Virtue and Valor | $38 $29.86 at Amazon
Save $8 - We'd never seen this fairy tale-themed set go for much less, and it'd only been out a few weeks! In other words, this was a top Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deal if we'd ever seen one.
Draft Booster Box | $129.99 $119.95 at Amazon
Save $10 - While it's worth noting that this was listed by a third party seller, it was a great price to pick up the Lost Caverns booster box for less - especially considering it'd only just come out.
Collector booster box | $310 $289.25 at Amazon
Save $20 - This was a brand new, all-time low price point for this stunning booster box. It was still on the expensive side, but for a diehard LOTR and MTG fan, it was still a steal.
Commander Deck - Ahoy Mateys | $40 $36.45 at Walmart
Save $3 - It's hard to tell how much this Commander Deck was supposed to be because the prices listed are all over the place at every retailer, but this little saving was still worth a look because it was on such a new product.
Collector Booster Box | $254.99 $241.99 at Walmart
Save $13 - Even though it didn't say it was a discount, we've seen this massive box of boosters for around $249 at the likes of Amazon and $255 at Best Buy. That made this a pretty solid deal.
Commander Deck - Paradox Power | $56.99 $39.75 at Amazon
Save $17 - This was the Commander deck's lowest ever price, making it one of the best Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deals on this list. We had seen other Dr Who decks getting reduced ahead of last year's sales as well, but they weren't quite as sweet as the 30% discount we were seeing from the Paradox Power deck.
Starter Kit | $10.99 $6.99 at Best Buy
Save $4 - OK, sure, that was 2022's starter deck. But it was also the cheapest this pack had ever been, so is well worth a look if you're new to the game.
Lost Caverns bundle | £43.99 $39.94 at Amazon
Save $4 - We were seeing this booster bundle closer to $44 or even $50 at other retailers, so this was nice little discount to snap up a great bundle for less.
UK
Elven Council Commander Deck | £42.95 £37.95 at Magic Madhouse
Save £5 - By our reckoning, this one hadn't dropped nearly so low as this before, making this Black Friday Magic: The Gathering deal the cheapest Elven Council had ever been.
Tales of Middle-earth draft booster box | £160 £139 at Wayland Games
Save £21 - This was one of the cheapest price points we'd seen this Lord of the Rings MTG booster box at, given it was only released last year. That makes it an attractive option for anyone looking to expand their collection or sit down for a draft session.
Innistrad: Crimson Vow Set Booster | £87.74 £71.99 at Amazon
Save £16 - At just 70 pence above its lowest ever price, this Crimson Vow MTG set booster deal for Black Friday was a winner.
Commander Deck - Mishra's Burning Banner | £39.45 £22.99 at Amazon
Save £16 - This Black Friday sale brings the deck down to a record-low price point, well worth taking advantage of if you were in the market for a unique new deck.
Virtue and Valor Commander Deck | £38 £29.95 at Magic Madhouse
Save £9 - This one wasn't listed as a deal, but we usually saw it go for around £38... and that's apparently the cheapest it'd been, so it counts in our eyes.
