Edmund McMillen is getting to be a pretty prolific indie game maker. Not only did he work on the art for Braid and co-developed one of 2010’s best, Super Meat Boy, he just put out another game today. Mostly a solo effort on McMillen’s part, The Binding of Isaac went on sale today. Part Legend of Zelda, part horrific trip to Hell, Isaac looks like something really special, particularly in its launch trailer.
Currently exclusive to the PC, as the trailer points out it normally costs the very cheap price of $5.00, but today it’s going for an additional 10 percent off on Steam, making it $4.49 currently. For a game that promises loads of randomly created dungeons and a different experience every time, that’s sounds like a pretty good deal. And you can use the $0.50 you save on therapy after playing through such a lovingly effed up game.
