Bill Hader confirms cast for The Hand Job
Christopher Mintz-Plasse has signed on
Saturday Night Live favourite Bill Hader is looking to shoot a movie this summer while on hiatus from the show. The title? The Hand Job.
After word last October that Aubrey Plaza (Julie from Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World ) was heading up the film as a sexually curious 17-year-old, Hader’s added more names to his cast.
And, frankly, they’re all awesome. The full rundown includes Andy Samberg, Donald Glover, Christopher Mintz-Plasste, Connie Britton, Mae Whitman, Alia Shawkat and Johnny Simmons.
Hader will shoot from a script written by his wife, which ended up on the 2009 Black List of the best unproduced scripts in Hollywood.
“It’s a really cool movie,” Hader tells Collider . “The cast for that is great.” No kidding.
Hader is also circling another project entitled The Skeleton Twins , which is currently looking for financing. Anna Farris and Mark Duplas are both attached to star, while Craig Johnson is set to direct with a script by Black Swan ’s Mark Heyman.
