Big movie tie-ins for 2008
What Hollywood blockbusters will be getting the game treatment?
Kung Fu Panda | July 2008
What's it all about?
Bamboofoolery. This animated anthropomorphic adventure from DreamWorks follows the story of Po the Panda (Jack Black) - a typically lazy black and white bear that is somehow prophesised as 'the chosen one' capable of defeating evil warrior Tai Lung (Ian McShane). Catch a glimpse of the Oriental flavoured slapstick in theKung Fu Panda trailer.
Is it getting gamed-up?
All quiet at the mo, but Activision has the rights and is sure to get something knocked together. It's already brought us tie-ins for DreamWorks' Shrek, Madagascar and Bee Movie, so we see no reason why it won't add Kung Fu Panda to the list.
Should you be excited?
If you've been excited about Shrek, Madagascar and Bee Movie then, yes, absolutely. Otherwise, despite the prospect of kung fu fighting animals, we expect this will be another unremarkable DreamWorks tie-in.
