Big movie tie-ins for 2008
What Hollywood blockbusters will be getting the game treatment?
Star Trek | Dec 2008
What's it all about?
Space. Directed by Lost co-creator JJ Abrams, the latest Trek movie boldly goes back to the early adventures of Kirk, Spock and the rest of the gang. The original cast will, of course, be played by younger performers, with Chris Pine as Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock and Simon Pegg as Scotty.

Is it getting gamed-up?
All's quiet on the final frontier at the moment, but with Elder Scrolls dev Bethesda holding the exclusive licence to develop and publish Star Trek games, we absolutely expect that a tie-in will appear through a wormhole at some point in the future.
Should you be excited?
If you've been bewitched by Mass Effect recently then you can rightfully get a little girly over the thought of a Star Trek game. However, we're engaging excitement glands with extreme caution - none of the Trek games released by Bethesda so far have been anything worth shouting about. Unless we're shouting "It's not very good".
