Is RTX 3050 enough for gaming in 2023?
Particularly for entry-level and lighter PC gaming, the RTX 3050 is just about enough to play modern games in 2023. If you're happy playing at 1080p predominantly, and occasionally want to reach up to 1440p then a 3050 in a gaming PC will certainly suffice. Just keep in mind that DLSS will be a necessity for more demanding games and higher resolutions and that 8GB of VRAM won't get you far if you really want 4K.
And if you're looking to try your luck with individual components, these are the best prices available on the RTX 30-series in all its forms.
