The best Warzone 2 P890 loadout in Modern Warfare 2
Use this Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 P890 loadout to make the most of your secondary slot
The best Warzone 2 P890 loadout from Modern Warfare 2 focuses on Akimbo use, while emphasizing power, accuracy and recoil control to boot. It's actually a slight modification of our best Warzone 2 Akimbo pistol loadouts, because frankly, the best form a P890 can take is doubling its power with Akimbo. Obviously doubling up comes with its own disadvantages, but by putting the right attachments on the weapon, you can help negate those and make the increased firepower all the more worth it. You'll have to do a little bit of grinding to reaching that point, but it's worth it to get the powerhouse pistols! Read on for the best Warzone 2 P890 loadout below.
Best Warzone 2 P890 loadout in Modern Warfare 2
The best Warzone 2 P890 build and loadout is as follows; at least if you want to do an akimbo build (and you should).
- Muzzle: FT Steel Fire
- Laser: 1MW Pistol Laser
- Magazine: 12-Round Mag
- Trigger Action: Bruen Express
- Rear Grip: Akimbo P890
Let's go through our working - obviously we started off with the Akimbo P890 rear grip to turn one pistol into two. Yes, you sacrifice accuracy and the ability to aim down sights, but it's worth it for the increased firepower, plus the P890's makes it very suited to this. The 1MW Pistol Laser is here to negate that loss of accuracy, while the Bruen Express trigger keeps your fire rate high, unloading into enemies in a blaze of gunfire. For the muzzle, we picked the FT Steel Fire, a silencer that helps with damage range, recoil and bullet velocity, but we can also see the appeal of the DZS Open Comp, for those who want more control over their aim. Finally, considering that you're going to be unloading your guns fast, the 12-Round Mag will prevent you from having to reload in the middle of a firefight, though you can always swap this out for a barrel attachment or modified ammo if you think it's more important. Remember, this is the build that works for us, and everybody has builds that they're more comfortable with. Experiment a little!
Sidearm-focused builds are always going to be an unusual thing to master in Warzone 2 or Modern Warfare 2, but the P890 makes for a reliable secondary and has consistently been one of the best Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 guns, and that's unlikely to change anytime soon.
Best Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone P890 class build
- Field Upgrade: Dead Silence
- Lethal: Drill Charge
- Tactical: Stim
- Base Perk 1: Battle Hardened
- Base Perk 2: Bomb Squad
- Bonus Perk: Fast Hands
- Ultimate Perk: Quick Fix
The best Modern Warfare 2 P890 class build is all about speed so start with Dead Silence to temporarily make you silent and give you an edge closing the gap on the enemy. The Drill Charge will help you lock down areas or cause distractions; and for tactical you'll either want Stim (which refreshes Tactical Sprint) or Flash Grenades, which will temporarily leave an enemy blinded.
When it comes to Warzone, pair your P890 with a solid primary and run the Warden Perk Package for a mobile run-and-gun loadout. Double Time will let you get around quicker while Fast Hands allows you to switch weapons faster, facilitating quick finishers with your backup pistol.
in Modern Warfare 2 Battle Hardened and Bomb Squad will reduce the effect of enemy tacticals, while Fast Hands will allow you to quickly switch between the P890 and whatever you have equipped in the Primary weapon slot (we'd recommend our best Modern Warfare 2 M4 loadout for that). Quick Fix is also essential, as it'll start health regeneration as soon as you kill an enemy, which is great for recovery if they get a few shots off before you double tap 'em. If you're still working your way through the Military Rank levels, you could also try the Support Perk Package while you're leveling up.
How to unlock the P890 in Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2
The P890 pistol is unlocked right at the start and, unlike most of the weapons in the game, the gun's Bruen 890 Platform is entirely self-contained – sharing no attachments with any other guns within its class. So while you don't have to do anything to get the gun, it means you'll need to level it up to 21 to access the attachments that really make it sing.
