Best of E3 06: Wii
Nintendo's disruptive, revolutionary console is on its way. Here's what you're going to buy
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Developer: Retro Studios
Publisher: Nintendo
Release Date: Q4 2006
While the graphics weren't much beyond the past two Metroid Prime games, Corruption did succeed in making the bounty hunt more physical. With the wand as Samus' right arm and the nunchaku as her left, running through a downed spaceship on Wii felt closer to the real thing than, well, our conception of what wearing a giant suit of armor might feel like.
We're a little concerned about the demo's lack of exploration-based gameplay, but E3 is hardly a proper venue to sit and think about your next move. As such, we have faith in Corruption's ability to uphold this beloved franchise's status.
