Summer is, admittedly, very nearly here, but it's always a good time to work on your core strength and tighten up that tummy. Even if you can't make it to the gym, Ring Fit Adventure is the perfect tool for all sorts of exercises that'll train your whole body, but if you want to focus on that all-important centre mass, here's how to get the most out of Nintendo's fitness game.

While the titular Adventure Mode might have the starring role in Ring Fit Adventure, if your attention is well and truly on your tummy, you might want to head to Quick Play Mode first. This selection of activities allows you to choose the exercises you want to do by body part, with moves designed especially to help work your core and abs, like the iconic Plank, the Hip Lift, or Leg Scissors. Alternatively, if you're focusing more on movement and burning calories than on core strength, you can turn to the Aerobic or Stamina exercises, like Mountain Climbers, Knee Lifts, or Side Steps. Whichever moves you pick, you'll be able to choose the intensity to match how you're feeling.

Once you've got to grips with the moves available in Quick Play Mode, you can cater to your preferences even more by using Custom Mode to create your own abs-busting workouts. There are dozens of exercises to choose from, allowing you to arrange them however you like, whether you want to highlight a specific area, make a playlist full of running tracks to get you moving, or add in some flexibility training with a yoga-focused routine.

Custom Mode also allows you to incorporate Ring Fit Adventure's Minigames into your playlist. Different games focus on different parts of the body, but if you're aiming for your core, then games like Bank Balance or Core Crushing should be the perfect fit. And once again, if you'd prefer to just go for a virtual run, Dreadmill is your best bet.

However you want to work your core, Ring Fit Adventure will guide you towards what's best for you. As you get to grips with the wide array of exercises available, you'll be able to build your ideal routine and get your tummy tighter than ever!
