FAQ

If you're hoping to save as much money as possible, you need to check out Disney Plus bundles. Besides offering you multiple streaming services for less than they'd normally cost combined, you often get one free - or very close to it. Seeing as these extras provide content that Disney Plus isn't always able to (like more mature shows), they're also worth considering if you want something to suit the household at large.

So, what exactly is available? You'll find a deep dive on the best Disney Plus bundles below, built up over years of experience covering the streaming service (the 12DOVE team and I have been reporting on its pricing since before it launched in 2019). That includes tips on getting maximum bang for buck, and which deal we'd recommend choosing.

Beyond that, we'll keep this page regularly updated with the latest offers as and when they appear. Let's dive in, shall we?

Disney Plus (ads) + Hulu (ads) | $10.99 per month
Save $8.99 - If you want the least expensive Disney Plus bundle available, this is it. Although these versions of Disney and Hulu come with ads, it's almost $9 less than getting them separately. It's a lot cheaper than the offer without ads, too; that's $19.99 per month. Because you'd be paying $19.98 for both services separately, you're essentially getting one for free.

Buy it if:
✅ You want the cheapest bundle
✅ You aren't bothered by ads

Don't buy it if:
❌ You hate ads

Disney Plus (no ads) + Hulu (no ads) | $19.99 per month
Save $14.99 - If you'd prefer not to put up with ads, you can pick up both services for just under $20. Considering they'd cost $34.98 separately, that's a bargain.

Buy it if:

Disney Plus (ads) + Hulu (ads) + Max (ads) | $16.99 per month
Save $12.98 - This is an incredibly strong Disney Plus bundle in terms of both value and the breadth of content you're getting. Seeing as you'd be paying $29.97 for all three separately, that's a steal.

Buy it if:
✅ You want something for everyone
✅ You're OK with ads

Don't buy it if:
❌ You aren't a fan of ads

Disney Plus (no ads) + Hulu (no ads) + Max (no ads) | $29.99 per month
Save $21.98 - Because buying each of these separately would cost around $51.97, this massively reduced bundle is one of the best in this guide. It's the one I'd personally recommend, because ads really get on my nerves.

Disney Plus (ads) + Hulu (ads) + ESPN Plus (ads) | $16.99 per month
Save $13.98 - This is by far and away the best Disney Plus bundle we've been able to find, and it remains unbeaten in terms of sheer value. Namely, Disney and Hulu cost $9.99p/m each while ESPN is $10.99 per month. That's a total of $30.97, making this much less painful on your bank balance.

Save $18.98 - In terms of the biggest saving, this wins without any sort of contest. Although it still combines Disney, Hulu, and ESPN into one package, they all come without ads so that you can avoid those pesky breaks. With the separate cost of all these setting you back $45.97 per month, that $27 Disney Plus bundle looks mighty fine.

Are any Disney Plus bundles available in Canada or Australia? Unfortunately, no - I've not seen any in my travels, and I've been covering the streaming service since before it went live. That means you'll have to make do with the basic subscriptions of $7.99p/m with ads in Canada (or $11.99p/m without ads) and $13.99p/m in Australia.

Are Disney Plus bundles worth it?

Despite costing a little more up front, Disney Plus bundles are much better value for money than other deals (so long as you're interested in the extras they provide, of course). That's because the add-ons fill a gap in Disney's own programming.

A good case-in-point would be the offer with Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus (including ads) for $16.99 per month. While Disney knocks it out of the park with blockbuster entertainment for families, Hulu covers more mature content. ESPN then charges into the breach with sports. It's the perfect marriage; as mentioned in our Disney Plus review, those are weak spots for the House of Mouse's streaming service, so it all balances out well.

The same is true of the UK's Disney Plus/Star mashup. Because Disney's offering is understandably more PG, the mature content provided by Star compliments it very nicely.

Which Disney Plus bundle should you get?

If I had to choose a Disney Plus bundle, it'd be the one which throws in Max and Hulu. Yes, the ESPN equivalent (combining Disney, Hulu, and sports) is tempting. But for my money, Max has a greater range of content - and its exclusives are of a consistently high quality too. House of the Dragon, Penguin, Peacemaker, and more can only be found at Max, while Hulu is home to favorites such as Only Murders in the Building. Combine those with all the Star Wars and Marvel you can muster and there's an enviable streaming package at your fingertips. Paying $16.99 per month for all three with ads also saves you almost $13 overall, so it's good value for money as well.

Can you get Disney Plus without Star?

Unfortunately, there's no way of getting Disney Plus without Star (where the service's more grown-up dramas go) in the UK or Australia. That's because Star isn't actually a separate entity that's been bundled into Disney. Instead, it's a glorified content hub where shows like Grey's Anatomy or Family Guy live, and it's provided free of charge. Think of it like the Star Wars banner on the main menu that collects all of those movies into one place.

Is there a discount for Disney Plus bundles?

Disney Plus bundles don't usually get discounts, but that's because the price is already reduced. Indeed, the Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN Plus combo (with ads) for $16.99 per month saves you around $14 compared to buying them separately. It's a similar story with the no-ads version of the offer; you're getting $18.98 off in that case. Similarly, the Disney Plus, Hulu, and Max bundle is $16.99 per month rather than almost $30.

Meanwhile, the UK is able to save £54 or thereabouts on six months of no-ads Disney Plus with an O2 contract. Although it's not as good as the Hulu and ESPN bundle listed above, that's still pretty decent overall.
