Ben Affleck, David Fincher and Gillian Flynn remaking Strangers On A Train
Having enjoyed massive success with their recent adaptation of Gone Girl, Ben Affleck, David Fincher and Gillian Flynn are set to join forces once more on a remake of the Alfred Hitchcock classic, Strangers On A Train.
According to Deadline, Affleck is set to star and produce under his Pearl Street Films banner, while Flynn will give the script a contemporary update from its 1951 origins.
The original film follows an unhappily married tennis pro, who finds himself corralled into a fiendish agreement with a complete stranger, who offers to kill his wife if our hero bumps off his father in return.
According to Deadline, Affleck’s protagonist will be a Hollywood actor in the middle of an Oscar campaign, with the fateful encounter taking place when he is forced to hitchhike after his plane breaks down.
No official release date has been confirmed as yet, with Affleck’s schedule particularly busy, but there are hopes that this one will surface at some point in 2016.
