SFX shows dominate the shortlist for the Best Television Drama Series at The Writer’s Guild Of Great Britain Awards 2009, with Doctor Who and Being Human battling it out against Little Dorrit in an all-BBC showdown. It’s a phenomenal achievement for Being Human – a show that only barely got commissioned and was shown on a digital channel – but a thoroughly well-deserved one.
The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain Awards cover TV, theatre, film, radio and video games. The winners will be revealed at a reception on Sunday 29 November 2009 along with individual awards for Lifetime Achievement and Special Contribution to Writing for Children.
Prince Of Persia, Fable II and Routes are battling it out in the Videogame category.
Full shortlist can be found here . Shame there’s no mention for Moon. Maybe it wasn’t eligible for some reason.
