BBC Three Commissions Second Series Of In The Flesh
And this time it’ll be even longer
BBC Three’s three-part zombie kitchen-sink-drama In The Flesh has been one of the year’s TV highlights so far (read our reviews here ), so we’re absolutely delighted to hear that the channel has not only commissioned a second series, but has also increased the number of episodes.
According to Broadcast , series two is likely to be six episodes, although it could end up a five-part series.
Series two revisits Roarton, where some of the locals are having a hard time adjusting to the “rehabilitated” zombies who are living among them; the fragile peace won’t take much to crumble.
The first series was written entirely by Dominic Mitchell, but series two will have contributions from other writers, and new cast members will also be recruited.
BBC3 controller Zai Bennett says: “ In the Flesh was a fantastically original and engaging drama for BBC3. I’m delighted Dominic and the team will be able to tell more stories from the riveting characters and engaging world they created.”
Dominic Mitchell tweeted , “Delighted # InTheFlesh is coming back. Thank you BBC, the cast, crew, the fans and all the supporters of the show.”
