THE ONE WHERE
Adama decides to refit the Fleet with superior Cylon jump technology to speed up the search for a new home. Not everyone is chuffed.
VERDICT
Considering the vastness of last week’s revelation about Ellen, the fact that it’s barely acknowledged this week comes as quite a surprise. Indeed, you might feel like you’ve missed something considering how much the Fleet has moved on since the disappointment of wasteland Earth. So, given the obvious rush to get on with it, why does this episode feel like it’s just treading water?
President Zarek’s up to his old tricks, rallying dissent among ships’ captains and earning himself a stay in the brig, while Gaeta’s having slanging matches with Starbuck and developing a mean line in insubordination.
The problem is that little else happens. The acting’s as good as ever, the dialogue’s okay but as for memorable moments? Disappointing seeing as this was written and directed by showrunner Ron Moore.
SURVIVOR COUNT
39, 644
CHARACTER
Web mini-series “The Face Of The Enemy”, set between 4.11 and 4.12, features Gaeta stranded on a Raptor with an Eight copy he had a relationship with on New Caprica. He learns that she betrayed his trust, killing the Colonists he thought she was helping to save.
BEST LINES
Starbuck: “In case you’re wondering, I will definitely hit a cripple.”
Gaeta: “So I guess a pity frak’s out of the question, then?”
