Battlefield 1's "They Shall Not Pass" DLC gets a concept art teaser
The first teaser for Battlefield 1's They Shall Not Pass DLC has arrived, and it's not exactly a "sacre bleu!" worthy moment, but it's still nice to see. Battlefield's official Twitter account delivered this message earlier today:

The French text translates to "Be ready". The scene shows a group of French soldiers in their distinctive blue uniforms battling German forces; the forces of France aren't currently playable in Battlefield 1, despite many of the game's maps taking place in their country. No more letting the Brits and Americans do all the fighting for them!
Assuming the 16 maps planned for the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass are distributed evenly, They Shall Not Pass will add four new battlefields to the game in March 2017. Most of them will likely be set in the Battle of Verdun, where French general Robert Nivelle uttered the words that inspired the titular slogan. The concept art likely illustrates a scene from one of those maps, showing a burned-out hallway adorned by tattered French flags.
Another Battlefield 1 expansion will open up the Eastern front for Russia to join the fray. We don't know what the other two will add yet, but there's still plenty of Great War to go around.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
This new indie D&D campaign setting brings Studio Ghibli and Zelda: Breath of the Wild aesthetics and worldbuilding to the tabletop RPG, and I'm already scheming hard as a DM
I've seen enough: Assassin's Creed Shadows will beat Black Flag as my favorite AC game as Ubisoft says it lets you "Naruto run" as the "fastest Assassin" it's ever made
