Jason ( Lost ’s Josh Holloway) is a boozy, washed-up basketball coach who gathers a team of roughnecks and moulds them into a lethal unit of world-class breakdancers, intent on securing US victory at the world breakdance championship (that’s a real thing!) for the first time in years.

But before that can happen, there are many, many inspirational speeches to get through.

The athleticism of the final ‘battles’ impresses, but even then, the routines are marred by trick-edits and headache-inducing 3D.

What could’ve been a fun ’80s throwback ends up more frustrating that it’s worth.
