Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice moves to March 2016
Title avoids clash with Captain America 3
Warner Bros. has moved Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice forward in its release schedule, with the forthcoming sequel now set to land on 25 March 2016.
The film had initially been expected to open on 6 May 2016, which would have put it in direct competition with Marvel, which had been scheduled to release Captain America 3 on the very same weekend.
However, the new date is currently unopposed, giving Batman v Superman the best possible chance of cleaning up at the box office. Not that it's likely to need much assistance…
The news comes as Warner continues to map out its long term plans regarding its DC properties, with the studio announcing release dates for a further 9 DC films up until 2020.
While Marvel has long been an exponent of drastically forward-thinking release schedules, it seems as though Warner has finally managed to get on the same page. The war’s not been won just yet…
