Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer to arrive with Mad Max: Fury Road
Warner Bros. forthcoming superhero spectacle Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice has been gathering early buzz since it debuted a blinding sizzle reel at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con. In the months that followed a flurry of rumours arose concerning where the full trailer would officially debut, with The Hobbit: Battle Of The Five Armies deemed a hot contender for the honour. While that failed to pan out a new report suggests the trailer is scheduled to arrive on May 15.
Strap yourselves in folks, because the folks at Collider have confirmed through multiple sources that the anticipated preview is “absolutely attached” to George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. Moviegoers intent on catching the apocalyptic reboot are now in for more than Max’s fiery Wasteland adventures as the studio is sending the BvS trailer out with every single copy of the movie.
The thinking behind the move relates to Disney and Marvel, who are kicking up their marketing blitz for Avengers: Age Of Ultron that arrives April 23 in the UK and May 1 in the US. Wanting to avoid the intense excitement surrounding that release - which will no doubt be HUGE - Warner is hoping to swoop in after that to give Dawn Of Justice its own time in the limelight.
Of course, there’s also talk that the studio may drop the trailer online even earlier than that. But we’ll just have to wait and see...
Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Gal Gadot Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice arrives on March 25, 2016.
Mad Max: Fury Road hits cinemas on May 15, 2015.
