The Dark Knight Rises may be gathering steam, but it’s still a way off - that 2012 release date remains a distant speck in the future.
Fear not, though, you can get your Batman fix right here in the UK next summer thanks to multi-million pound stage production Batman Live.
In a DC Comics first, Batman will be taking to live-action arenas across Britain for a show based around Gotham City, with all our favourite places – Wayne Manor, the Batcave and Arkham Asylum – brought to life on stage.
The winged one will also be accompanied by a collection of villains that includes The Joker, Catwoman, The Riddler, Penguin and Harley Quinn as they attempt to bring Gotham City to its knees.
So while you sit and wait for Chris Nolan to get his third and final Batman off the ground, Batman Live could be the perfect antidote for your anxious, listless waiting.
