Bana set to star in Hanna
Likes the look of Joe Wright’s assassin thriller...
If only all news that rhymed was true.
So... Gordon Brown wants to play a clown with a frown in a film about a 19th century gown...
Okay, we made that one up. But this one’s true: Eric Bana is in talks with Joe Wright to star in Hanna .
The film, according to Variety , “centers on a 14-year-old girl who has spent her life living in the woods and is trained by her father to be an assassin.
“She then leaves the wilderness for the first time to assassinate a high-ranking government official who has a lot to hide.”
Saoirse Ronan of The Lovely Bones (out 19 February) plays the titular Hanna. No official word yet on Bana’s role, though we’re hoping he plays the girl’s father.
The film is set to begin shooting next month in Germany with David Farr’s script.
