Avengers: Infinity War has a scene with "like 32 of us" says Scarlett Johansson

We knew Avengers: Infinity War was going to be big - the Russo brothers, who are co-directing the film, said back in 2016 that there were as many as 67 characters, all told. But surely such a high number would be spread out fairly evenly, right? After all, even Captain America: Civil War tapped out at 12 during the airport fight scene. But Scarlett Johansson says at least one Infinity War scene has nearly three times that many characters.

"At one point, I do think that the Infinity Wars, I think there are, at one point, 61 or 62 Marvel characters in it," Johansson told Stephen Colbert on The Late Show. "I think in one particular scene, there's like 32 of us. There's a lot. There's so many of us. I don't even know who's a Marvel character and who's a crew member." You can watch the whole interview below if you want, or skip to 8:09 to get past roughly five minutes of Colbert and Johansson talking about chicken wings.

It's possible Johansson pulled the 32 number out of thin air, but even if that's not an exact figure, it sounds like Infinity War will rope in every hero it can to deal with the Mad Titan, Thanos. And if it's as well-choreographed as the airport fight in Civil War, it should be a blast to watch.

Of course, before we can go too far down that road, we've got to get through Thor: Ragnarok first. Thankfully, based on the film's first trailer, that looks like it'll be an enjoyable ride. And let's not forget Spider-Man: Homecoming is right around the corner!
