Cyber Monday PS5 deals in Australia for 2024: The event is over, but here's what's left
Cyber Monday deals may remain through the week
Cyber Monday is over, and thus, the big November sale season comes to a semi-official end. We say "semi-official", because retailers handle the season however they see fit, and some even consider this week "Cyber Week". In other words, it's likely deals will remain throughout this first week of December.
Make no mistake, though: Some of the best deals are behind us. But others - including discounts on PS5 consoles - remain. We've spent covering both events, but there may be some outliers, especially in the form of PS5 games and third-party accessories.
Whatever the case, we're not hanging it up just yet: we'll be keeping an eye on the retail-scape for the remainder of the week just in case something pops up that warrants inclusion here.
Cyber Monday PS5 console deals in Australia
PlayStation 5 Slim (digital): wasAU$679.95 now AU$529 on Amazon AU
Save AU$150.95
If you're an all-digital gamer or willing to abandon physical media, the PS5 Slim digital edition is well worth it at over AU$100 off. Although the PS5 Pro is on the horizon, the base PS5 will still carry you well until PS6, so long as you don't mind not having bleeding edge performance (which will cost you AU$1,199, mind you).
PlayStation 5 Slim (disc): was AU$799.95 now AU$578 on eBay (EB Games)
Save AU$171.95
This eBay EB Games deal on the PS5 Slim (disc) was down to AU$558 for eBay Plus subscribers last week, but this AU$578 price is still obviously great value. Again, eBay Plus membership is required for this price, but you can always grab a free trial. Use the coupon code SNSM11 at checkout.
Cyber Monday first-party PS5 accessory deals
Save AU$70.97
You don't hear much about these wireless buds made especially by Sony for PS5, but they exist, and our colleagues over at Techradar thought they were good. They're almost perfect for the PlayStation Portal, and can double as your commuting 'phones if you fancy the PlayStation branding. They feature multi-device connectivity, integrated mics (for both gaming and phone convos) and AI-enhanced "noise rejection".
Cyber Monday PS5 game deals
Save AU$40.95
A brilliant discount on this very recently released BioWare RPG, which we didn't expect to get this cheap so soon. According to our review it's "an approachable, expansive action-oriented RPG," and a "true end to whatever the franchise was before".
Save AU$50.95
A big 46% saving on this sumptuous open world Star Wars game. It's a little divisive, but Ubisoft is continually shaving off at its rougher edges, and if you love a cheerful mix of low-stakes stealth and third-person shooting, there's no reason you won't love this. Outlaws only released in late August, so this is a bargain for a relatively new game.
Save AU$45.95
This brilliant action RPG has been very shy of discounts since launch, so while AU$90 is pretty steep as far as PS5 game discounts go, if you've had your eye on Stellar Blade you'll know this is a good price. It's one of the most visually dazzling PS5 exclusives to date, with a gorgeous K-Pop soundtrack and engrossing combat.
Save AU$67.55
A bonanza discount on this highly regarded horror remake, which was met with unanimous praise when it released in 2022 (though presumably not enough sales for EA to quickly issue a Dead Space 2 remake). This discount requires the coupon code BLKFR at checkout, otherwise it's a still-decent AU$28.
Save AU$40.95
Considering this remake only released a matter of weeks ago, this 41% discount is very generous indeed. It's a brilliant and innovative platformer with a lot of old school Disney charm, and it's the kind of game that makes an easy Christmas gift for PS5 owners young and old.
Save AU$65.95
It's not uncommon for 2K's NBA series to drop dramatically in price just months after release, and the most recent instalment isn't breaking the trend. That makes it a brilliant stocking stuffer, or else just a financially viable thing to buy for yourself (though as is usually the case with NBA 2K, expect to be pestered with in-game monetisation schemes; if you can ignore those, it's a brilliant series).
Save AU$60.95
This year's sportsball videogame is definitely the most recent in the series. We called it "highly playable, yet naggingly familiar", which is the annualised sports series vibe in a nutshell. Still, AU$49 only a couple months since release is hard to argue with.
Save AU$29.95
It may be a PS4 game but Red Dead Redemption 2 still looks beautiful, even though it hasn't been updated to take advantage of the PS5 (not to mention the PS5 Pro). This is one of the most lavish videogame productions to date, with an epic 40+ hour narrative and a story that can rival the great westerns.

FAQ
When will Cyber Monday PS5 deals start?
Cyber Monday PS5 deals will officially kick off on Monday December 2 this year, which means we'd recommend watching for retailers turning their Black Friday sales around over the course of the weekend before.
Will the PS5 be cheaper on Cyber Monday?
While the PS5 has definitely been cheaper over the full Black Friday weekend, it might not be too much cheaper over Cyber Monday. That's because retailers will often slowly raise their prices as their deal-allotted stock runs out. With so much competition snapping up those discounted consoles on Black Friday, the weekend after might be too late.
Should you buy a disc or digital PS5 on Cyber Monday?
The majority of players will be better suited to the disc version of the PS5 on Cyber Monday. Not only does it allow you to run a whole library of cheaper PS4 games on your new device, but if pricing remains inline with previous record lows the disc version represents greater value overall. We haven't seen the digital edition taking any price cuts so far - and we're not anticipating anything too groundbreaking over Cyber Monday either. Considering the discounted PS5 comes so close to the price of the digital edition it's worth the upgrade.
