Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be a month late on PC (to dodge a day one patch)

Assassin's Creed Unity was surprisingly broken when it came out last year, particularly on PC, and Ubisoft is taking steps to make sure that doesn't happen again with Assassin's Creed Syndicate. The game's PC version will release on November 19, just under a month after it hits PS4 and Xbox One on October 23.

Ubisoft said in an official blog post that the delayed rollout will help ensure "PC players get the most stable, optimized version of the game on day one" rather than waiting for a patch to keep Jacob and Evie's faces from falling off. Ok, Ubisoft didn't say that last part but I sure as heck inferred it. Making sure the PC version runs well right off the bat "has been one of the top priorities for the production team this year," according to Ubisoft Kiev studio production manager Sam Kovalev, and those four extra weeks are all part of the plan.

PC requirements for the game are still being finalized, but you can expect a system with the recommended specs to run at 1080p and 30fps without any problems; Ubisoft says it won't lock Syndicate's resolution or framerate, so more powerful machines can go bigger and faster.

If all that talk of improved pipelines has you feeling reassured, you may want to check out this Assassin's Creed Syndicate's pre-order DLC. Or just read about how Evie Frye can literally turn invisible.
